Non L.P. B SIDE Vol. 1 No. 3 --- Nov. 21, 1980

I used to pick up all of the freebie magazines on record hunting trips to Greenwich Village during my misspent youth. Here's the first issue I got.

John Peel's radio show May 19th, 1980

Listen to John Peel's radio show from May 19th, 1980 with a tribute to Ian Curtis. The Peel wikia site is nothing short of incredible.

You may think I constantly obsess about Ian Curtis but the truth is Mt. St. Helens blew its lid on May 18, 1980 and if you know me you'll know I want to be a volcanologist when I grow up - so the day has deep significance for me.

If you dig deep enough you'll even find Peel playing 3 songs by obscure indie band Tulips. One former member is now a co-worker.

The concert was broadcast on the BBC - well 7 songs anyway.
